4.3.6.1 Stretch List Tool

Stretch List Tool Function:
The Stretch List Tool provides a mechanism for saving and retrieving the results of the contrast stretch. A formatted file saves the red, green, and blue breakpoints in a file suffixed by .strh.
Add:
The Add button adds the current contrast stretch to the stretch list.
Update:
The Update button updates the currently selected stretch list entry to the current contrast stretch.
Delete:
The Delete buttons removes the currently selected stretch.
Clear:
The Clear button removes all stretch entries.
Stretch List:
Selecting a stretch list entry applies the contrast stretch specified to each color plane and updates the Color Tool display for the new mapping. There are three fixed stretch list entries to show the CURRENT, PREVIOUS and a LINEAR contrast stretch. These entries may also be selected to modify the color mapping but may not be deleted or updated.
Load:
The Load button pops up a file selection dialogue to select the name of the stretch file to load.
Save:
The Save button saves the current stretch list to the file last loaded. If no stretch file had been previously loaded, a dialogue box is provided to specify the file name to save.
Save New:
The Save New button provides a dialouge box to specify the name of the new file to save. The name of the new file must not be an existing file name.
Dismiss:
The Dismiss button hides the stretch tool window.
